Sekolah Vokasi dengan Keunggulan Karakter Spiritualitas Katolik
Refleksi atas Pengalaman Sebagai Seorang Guru dan Pengawas Pendidikan Agama Katolik di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Kota Manado
Abstract
Adaptive education does not only require students to have good intellect but needs to be supported by character development. Vocational schools with special skills orientation need to be equipped with the character profile of Pancasila students. Skills and character building in vocational schools demands more of a role than a Catholic educator in public schools. Catholic students are not only given knowledge about religion alone, but they need to be equipped with skills and life skills with the values of Catholic spirituality. Catholic educators are not just religious teachers but need to equip themselves with quality and competitiveness. With the quality and competitiveness of Catholic teachers, they have the opportunity to gain a strategic leadership role so as to expand their range of service and contribution as lay Catholics in the world. Adaptability, innovation, creativity, initiative, collaboration are the keys to winning quality and competitiveness. The empowerment space has been opened by the ministry of education and culture through the project Profil Pancasila. Initiatives, innovations, and collaborations with Catholic teachers equipped with spirituality can transmit Catholic values through strengthening character in schools.
