Wiremobetwirem@gmail.comGregorius Hertanto Dwi Wibowogregoriushertanto@gmail.com
This article offers an ecclesiological analysis of the charitable and developmental works of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (MSC) in Merauke, South Papua, with particular attention to the fields of education, health, and social welfare. As a mission territory since the arrival of the first MSC missionaries in 1904, Merauke represents a complex socio-cultural and religious context shaped by border dynamics and indigenous traditions. Employing a descriptive-analytical qualitative method based on literature review and interviews with missionaries in the Archdiocese of Merauke, this study evaluates MSC initiatives in light of the Second Vatican Council’s ecclesiological vision, especially as articulated in Ad Gentes, Lumen Gentium, and Gaudium et Spes. The analysis demonstrates that MSC charitable works are not merely social services but concrete expressions of the Church’s participation in the missio Dei, promoting integral human development, affirming human dignity, and fostering social transformation. Through these ministries, the Church manifests itself as the People of God and as a sacrament of salvation within the local Papuan context.
2026-01-31T00:00:00+08:00Copyright (c) 2026 Roberto U. Operating under the auspices of the Diocesan Family Commission, the KBK must uphold a non-elitist, egalitarian ethos, truly serving its members with a spirituality dedicated to the family, the Church and the nation. The research employs a multidisciplinary approach, integrating philosophical, ethical, psychological, modern organizational management, and pastoral perspectives. Philosophically, it explores the essence of Catholic fatherhood; ethically, it scrutinizes accountability and moral leadership; psychologically, it addresses inter-relational dynamics and resilience; managerially, it proposes modern and organizational governance models for effective, scalable operations; and pastorally, it assesses its role in the Church’s communio mission. The central finding is that the KBK’s successful repositioning is crucial for strengthening the Family Commission’s ability to execute its core mandates. The study proposes a contemporary, professional governance model utilizing modern human resource and organizational management principles to ensure sustainable impact and real-world service delivery, particularly in family economic resilience. This transformation ensures the KBK is a true servant-leader body, upholding the principle of servant leadership and manifesting Christ’s love in every Catholic family.
2026-01-31T00:00:00+08:00Copyright (c) 2026 Herkulaus Metyhttps://journal.stfsp.ac.id/index.php/jb/article/view/834Analisis Kelayakan Kepahlawanan Soeharto Berdasarkan UU 20/2009 dan Standar Hak Asasi Manusia Modern2026-01-14T21:08:33+08:00Andreas Masaroniandreasmasaroni@gmail.comBonifasius Solabonifasiussola@gmail.comEduard. On the one hand, Soeharto is regarded as having made significant contributions through political stability, economic growth, and development programs such as the Repelita, which brought substantial improvements to public welfare. On the other hand, his period of rule was also marked by serious human rights violations. This study aims to assess Soeharto’s eligibility to receive the title of National Hero based on Law No. 20 of 2009 and modern human rights standards, particularly the principles of non-derogable rights, accountability, and human dignity. The fundamental assumption of this study is that a hero’s title is not merely a historical judgment, but also a moral one that must comply with national legal standards and universal norms, and must be free from violations of absolute human rights. The analysis finds that although Soeharto achieved major accomplishments in national development, the structural involvement of the state in human rights violations during his presidency violates fundamental moral principles and the criteria for heroism as stipulated in Law No. 20 of 2009. Therefore, the granting of the National Hero title to Soeharto is ethically and legally highly problematic.
2026-01-31T00:00:00+08:00Copyright (c) 2026 Kristovel Ivan Pepende, Andreas Masaroni, Bonifasius Sola, Eduard. This research aims to provide an accurate review of the Cenderawasih crown burning case in Jayapura and to offer a relevant philosophical assessment. The core question posed by the author is what is the appropriate analysis of the Cenderawasih crown burning issue in Jayapura, especially when viewed from a philosophical perspective. Through qualitative research utilizing a descriptive-analytical writing method, the author found that a violation of local wisdom values occurred through this Cenderawasih crown burning case. The action taken by the BBKSDA (Papua Natural Resources Conservation Agency) was intended to deter individuals involved in the illegal hunting of the Cenderawasih, an endangered endemic bird , but on the other hand, the act of burning they chose sparked protests from the Papuan community, who viewed it as a disregard for their customs and traditions. Therefore, a precise assessment from a philosophical standpoint is needed to avoid bias in evaluating this case
2026-01-31T00:00:00+08:00Copyright (c) 2026 Edi Supriyanto, Fabylio Cornelius Togas, Liberatus Welerubun, Paulus Kus Bukan, Yohanis Resubun
